Lord Lancaster often turns up to tell us all how wonderful Sage products are. If somebody comes along and tells us that they are rubbish, with clear explanations of why, he disappears without trace. As in the post about Sage One, where he'd posted several times to tell us that "customers love it" When this post came along to explain precisely why the poster didn't love it (at all) he seems to have been too busy to reply. Surprise surprise.
I post comments/replies to try and even things out and give a more balanced view of Sage One using customers feedback to back up my claims and to try and encourage readers to take a closer look so they can make their own mind up. If people still don't like Sage One then there's not much point in me keep banging on about it in the same thread or it will just turn into an argument.
And yes, I'm busy (aren't we all) so don't always get time to read all the comments or feedback about Sage One on AccountingWEB but do try to get on here as much as possible.
Thanks RedFive, as you say we (Sage) released Sage Final Accounts Online in December.
If you do a Google search for 'Sage Final Accounts Online' you'll find the page on the Sage Exchange website which contains a short video, guide and webinars if you want to take a closer look.
It's also completely free for accountants to use when they use it to do the final accounts for businesses using our cloud-based Sage One Cashbook, Accounts or Accounts Extra software.
RE: So what? Err, because Si_Woodhams said Sage One didn't...! "The new QBO Online payroll AutoEnrolment ready blows the main cloud competition out of the water with the fact it deals with everything including all of the letters (unlike Xero and Sage One). I also agree with you when you say 'there are smarter smarter, less expensive and blingy ways' of marketing your service. We spend a lot of time gathering customer feedback over the phone, in person, in surveys and online using services like TrustPilot. Coming on sites like AccountingWEB and responding to queries about Sage One or correcting inaccuracies are another good way of doing this which is what I'm doing here so accountants and bookkeepers can make up their own mind instead of just believing the latest flashy ad or PR campaign. Sorry, probably my inbuilt distain for Sage, it shouldn't be that automatic!
Trying to be objective however, and ignoring my DNA, the OP is saying that, unlike Xero & Sage One, QBO handles everything on AE and you responded that Sage handles AE.
So I suppose it remains for one of you to compare features to see if the Op is right?
I would love to do a direct comparison on here & provide links to prove what I say but the last time few times I've done that I've had my posts edited or removed by AccountingWEB moderators for being 'too pro-Sage One'. Instead I'm hoping that readers will do their research and decide for themselves which is honestly best for their clients ;o)
Our Sage One Payroll software already provides all the functionality that a 1-15 employee business needs to prepare for Automatic Enrolment.
We've been adding this in stages to the software since late August and you can read all about this on our blog or website.
I don't think I'm allowed to post direct links to our website on here but if you do a quick Google search for 'Sage One Automatic Enrolment' you'll find all the info :o)
I am yet to find a client who would rather faff on with the bookkeeping themselves as opposed to leaving it to an expert, cloud or no cloud, but Sage One will be first on my list should that need arise.
Our customers also really love the simplicity and ease of use of Sage One. Have a look at all the positive comments for our product and 24hr customer support on TrustPilot at https://www.trustpilot.co.uk/review/sageone.com

Small & micro businesses love Sage One
Not true. At the end of last year we announced to the city that we had grown our subscription base of Sage One by approx 150% in 12 months to 86,000 (up from 35,000 in 2013). Approx 47,000 of these were in the UK & Ireland (see the Sage Group plc press release at http://www.sage.com/investors/press-releases/2014/12/03/the-sage-group-plc-audited-results-for-the-year-ended-30-september-2014).
Our customers also really love the simplicity and ease of use of Sage One. Have a look at all the positive comments for our product and 24hr customer support on TrustPilot at https://www.trustpilot.co.uk/review/sageone.com
