Its taking ages for HMRC to acknowledge that the SA has been received
Normally it would take between 10-20 seconds to receive confirmation that a tax return has been received, but today we are having to check multiple times (between 10-15 minutes) before we eventually receive confirmation.
I suppose you could issue Y with a new class of shares ranking pari passu with the existing shares except that they do not participate in the first £150,000 in the event of wind up.
This sounds like a good idea...I will look into this.
My advise to the client was to set up a new company, but they did not like the idea as they want to get involved in big construction projects, and they want a trading history so that they can get extended credit from existing suppliers
My answers
Thanks for everyone who responded.
We have decided to have a "phased" upgrade on our systems..
We started with upgrading tow PC's with Windows 7 Professional
Next phase will be 6 months down the road
BTW, with free upgrades to Windows 10, do we need to be on Windows 8 to be upgraded or will we be able to upgrade from Windows 7?
Thanks
Not receiving confirmation that SA received

All the clients have either no liability or are due a refund.
Should I still send the Tax Returns in the post with a covering letter or just sit back?
The clients have not previously been required to complete a tax return, and completing the return for the first time...
Will they still get 3 months from the date the date the UTR / notice to complete tax return?
