A St Andrews University graduate, from 1974 to 1986 he was with Scruttons plc Group in London, holding leading IT system development and directorship positions in UK and overseas, focusing on commercial issues and budgetary control, including P&L responsibility for multi-£m turnover businesses. In 1987 he established his own management consultancy business, focusing on business strategy, development and corporate finance with successful assignments in Scotland and elsewhere. Founded Infoplex in 1995.
