I have known Steve Pipe for a number of years, and whilst I certainly don't agree with everything he has to say or the way he says it, many of his underlying messages, including this one, are spot on.
I've always thought that if you haven't anything constructive to say, then don't say it.
UITF 40 adjustment I might be wrong, but I think that Nichola's article "How to actually make the UITF 40 adjustment" is slightly misleading in that "her (Anita) sales would only be £20,000 not £40,000 because of the Dr sales, Cr Debtors adjustment for £20,000) so she has been taxed on £40,000 in total being £2,500 in y/e 31/12/04 by virtue of the WIP adjustment (reduction in cost of sales) £17,500 UITF adjustment and £20,000 in y/e 31/12/05.
