I’ve been considering it for a while, largely on the integration with Xero. But I really like TaxCalc and the increase in cost moving to Digita also puts me off, since I won’t use a lot of Digita’s functionality.
Be interested to see who else has moved and what they think.
Thanks again In a Daze. Makes sense.
Thanks In a Daze.
It was more about the accounting transaction created in Xero once Vend closes a Register each day. It leaves in the Xero Balance Sheet a Current Asset called 'Cash Float'. Most days this clears out, but where the closing cash count is lower than the opening one, it leaves a credit in Xero's balance sheet.
What does this liability represent? That the Company owes this amount to 'someone' who initially put the opening till float in? This assumes that a staff member used their own cash for the float? A bit lost.
Agree with DJKL.
Also, with MTD on the horizon, you've got to think about your own operating and pricing model. Don't end up taking on work that's not worth it personally to you.
Finally, I always think that if a Client leaves you to go to a cheaper Acountant, they're most likely with you for the wrong reason; and it won't be long before they leave the new accountant to the next one who under-cuts them...
Good phrase adam.arca - might start using that one!
Currently I just amend the Client records directly. I'm reviewing fairly regularly throughout the year so this approach works best for us.
If it's not a one-off, I let the Client know to change how they account for these specific items. If it's a one-off I tend to just make the change and move on.
I too am going to see how Digita (pushing amendments back into Xero) works out.
I spoke to RB and didn't mind the £9.99 fee per Client but couldn't understand why I had to pay £25pm for the dashboard when I was bringing Clients to them!
Has anyone got their Clients using the Xero App for scanning bills? Seems ok for those with a small quantity of scanning to do each month.
Agreed Igor. Thanks for setting that point straight.
My OP was focussing on the CT treatment rather than the NIC, but glad you pointed that out.
Have you looked at recommending Receipt Bank to your clients?
In what respect for example?
