Sage Practice Solution is great for recording time, billing via Sage 50 and getting a report showing the profit or loss on each job.
It also has a WIP ledger which shows everything that you have ever done on a client which is very handy.
Loads of reports and you pretty much report on any data in there.
However, it's a pity Sage has never done anything with this product (it could have been fantastic) because as a practice management tool, compared to some of the new kids on the block, it's severely lacking.

Another vote for Moneysoft Payroll manager.
We moved from Sage payroll professional and saved a fortune.
To access remotely leave PC on in office and use teamviewer or the like to access work pc.

I wonder who thought it was a good idea to launch the eligibility checker on the same day as bounce back loans!
Why HMRC couldn't just let the agent get on with it like we do for everything else, I do not know.

If you want to spend longs hours working for nothing (and believe you me i have been there, done that and got the T shirts, short and pants on this) that is of course entirely up to you.
But all the free services in the world will be forgotten when the chips are really down.

A huge tax risk with huge potential liabilities lands on your lap. What do you do?
PAYE old boy and pretty pronto.

Just done one for a client with the same situation, except he had two nominee accounts with earlier purchases still on share certificates. Also, reinvested dividends each quarter and purchased more shares across all 3 accounts. 2018/19 first sales for 12 years.
Total nightmare, doesn't do it justice but you have no choice other than to grind through the numbers.

I would not even entertain this request no matter who the client is or whatever the prospect.
Either we do the Tax Return or the client does the Tax Return, full stop.

Those bells ringing are not Santa coming.... they are huge warning ones flagging up the folly of doing this.
We would be an outright NO, at the initial request, but at least you are asking the question here, hopefully before you have agreed to this.
Some of the best decisions you will ever make are when you say NO.

Got my pack yesterday, the 17th October.
Fab timing considering the webinars printed on the reverse were on the 10th, 11th and 16th October!
At least glad ICAEW wasting the governments money on this rubbish rather than members subscriptions.
