Taxcalc

I am quite disappointed with it. I have used taxcalc for personal tax returns for quite a few years because it was simple and very effective.I think that excellent software has been made unnecessarily complicated and been spoilt. I find having to log in all the time a pain and I cannot bring forward one of the 2011-12 tax returns to 2012-13. I will be telephoning them over this and some other niggles.

goodwill

I haven't seen anything official apart from this link http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/manuals/insmanual/ins44011.htm

Also there is good guidance in "Incorporating a Business" by Roger H. Jones

incorporation reality

Thanks for your reply.

It looks like the old business ceased and any sole trader invoices issued in error, but I am having a discussion with client to obtain greater clarity.
