I don't know how to delete my above question, but I have fixed the problem.
Solution - go to Select Company page / open folder location / find company.000 folder/ delete ACCDATA folder / create new (empty) ACCDATA folder / Add Company / restore backup.
No idea why the data would not restore in the first place as it restored OK on a different PC.
I use VT accounts and I tried to submit accounts to CH on Saturday and I received the same message as yourself. I tried again this morning and I still get the same 'Unable to save submission' message.
I tried to submit using 2 separate PCs but they are both using Office 2016!
It somehow slipped my mind to think of who actually owned the land!! I will advise the client to arrange for an agreement for the company to occupy the land.
BKD, you correctly understood my meaning that the existing garage was not large enough to accommodate the pool, so it has to be extended. To be precise, around half the pool will be under the garage and half will be in the extension.
Apologies for the delay in replying to your posts, I used to receive emails from AWeb advising me when a post had been responded to, but this seems to have stopped!
I just spoke to Companies House, they advised me that no SH01, resolutions etc. were submitted when the £120k pref. shares were introduced into the accounts in 2010. So, I could send in amended accounts and annual returns for 2010 to 2014 with the pref. shares removed.
They also mentioned that if I didn't send amended accounts for 2010 to 2014 and instead just sent in the next accounts and annual return with the £120k pref. shares removed they would not be queried by Companies House!
Many thanks WhichTyler, I wasn't aware of this service.
Apparently I need the certificate of incorporation and the mem. & arts. apostilled (legalised).
You are correct, I have seen other companies offer this service for double the cost that you mentioned.
Is there anything I need to look out for non UK resident directors using a non £GBP bank account?
The company I use for money laundering checks do have an international service, so I expect that will be OK.
I suppose my biggest concern will be converting the clients figures from their currency into £GBP when I prepare the accounts! Am I right in thinking this?
My answers
Many thanks everyone!

It only took me 5hrs to find the solution!
Yep, working now, but it is very slow.
Yep, I tried entering an SA code and requested a new authorisation code both yesterday and today but there was a 'problem with the service'.
Any updates?
Have you resolved this issue?

Result!
Thanks LuKosro, I will give them a call today.
I will also get my client to check with their bank to confirm what information they will require to be legalised.
Cheers
Thanks
