I too received an email purporting to be from HMRC but this one said they had changed my email address as I had asked them to (I hadn't!). Again "no-reply". No address.
I ignored it. I think maybe there are some spams going around. However, what is the benefit to the spamsters???
I would suggest that the number of years spent in prison by all the subpostmasters be added up. Then dole out prison sentences on the guilty top brass to the same amount.
To Tax Dragon - Yes, you are correct! My apologies.
To Portia - I have looked all over the web for Norfolk v Chance, but can find nothing! Any clues, please?
Thanks, very interesting.
However the law seems to say that there must be marriage or civil partnership. My client was "living with" partner, and had child by partner. Do you think that counts for nil CG Tax also?
Yes, we need an interface for MTD VAT and MTD A/cs. However nothing fancy will do! All I need for my clients is a manual interface as my excel cashbook already produces the MTD figures both for VAT an A/cs.

Will the next one be Essex v Thingymejig?

It probably won't happen without major amendments so wait and see. If it does, then this could be the next "poll Tax" moment!
