I am a graphic designer for my family accountancy business and have used Quark a lot but I've never had to do this. One possibility is if you export it to a PDF first then try importing that into Excel - that may preserve the formatting.
Using Sage or a specialist accountancy package that includes invoicing seems like a much better long-term strategy though.
