Keeping your top members motivated and inspired to want to stay for a long period can be challenging. At our company, of course they use some of the same tactics most companies do by offering incentives. But what I have found is that many key role players are mostly motivated by the ability to express their individuality within the company (i.e. their ideas). Otherwise they will just start their own company eventually.
