My accountant is the reason why I am in this position now.
Let me give point by point this approach:
- My payroll was not run for the period '21-'22
- My last payroll run was £12000 in '20-'21
- However now my company returns claims the salary of £33000.
So without the payroll been run, will this be accepted by HMRC. I am ok to pay fines. Or will this salary paid (as claimed in company returns) would be rejected.

But as per the last statement submitted for ‘23, Director’s loan has been reduced to £8000. We did started with £130k in ‘2019 though. Thanks.
My payment was coming to be in very irregular way. It was not like a salary.
So it is wise to assume that Wages would be better? Will it be more easy to handle wages as PAYE has not been done.
