Within her capacity at Discover Your Bounce, Sharon strives to bring improved wellbeing, team cohesion and stress management to boards, divisions and teams.
With mental health, as with physical health, it’s important to undertake a diagnostic investigation before prescribing treatment. One of Sharon’s primary roles at DYBB is to have initial discussions with senior executives and boards to help them understand the business implications and risks of not recognising and tackling workplace wellbeing issues.
Sharon runs interactive workshops, discussion groups and organises individual coaching and mentoring. Her workshops provide effective techniques in areas such as mindfulness, goal setting and increased creativity alongside raising some of the big questions around how we do business today.
As a member of Council Sharon is one of 38 ACCA members elected by the membership to provide overall stewardship to the organisation.
Karen works closely with the Executive team to devise strategy and to oversee delivery of ACCA examinations as well as regulatory and professional development services for 219,000 members and 527,000 students in 179 countries. She also ensures that the ACCA continues to act in the interest of its members and meets its objective of acting in the public interest.
The challenge for ACCA Council is to provide appropriate services both digital and face to face including continual professional development opportunities whilst also attracting new students and encouraging the students the they have. They are supported by 39 regional member networks with some 350 volunteer advocates. One of the elements Sharon loves is supporting and encouraging their advocates, who are their eyes and ears and provide valuable feedback alongside promoting the Association.
