My interests involve pets, all animals, and nature in all of its glory. I couldn't live without music, or reading, either. Music feeds my soul. I take the view that we have but a short time on this earth, so I want to enjoy it, but not at the expense of others. Likewise, nature can be cruel, but it is for reasons of survival, and not for pleasure.

My pet hates are hypocrisy, double standards, and selfishness. My faults ... I do tend to be rather blunt and direct with people. I try really hard to be diplomatic, but I don't always succeed. Life is too short to mess about feeding peoples egos and the quicker they face up to reality, the better their own life will be!

I chose a penguin as my avatar because they are comical. The question marks are because I am endlessly curious and I cannot rest until I find an answer to my question. I love a bit of fun and a joke, and I don't take myself (or others) too seriously, as my many friends on AWeb already know, and others have yet to learn  :)

More music to feed our souls ....

I don't believe anything Cameron or Osbourne says. They deliberately lie, and get things wrong. Even if it were true, I would rather be poor (for a while) and free, than be a rich man slave. I know that's an exaggeration, but if you don't have democracy and self-government then you are little more than a slave.

Also, with the way the economics are going in the EU, we will be made bust anyway with all the bail-outs we will be expected to finance, and the 'bribes' to Turkey and everyone else plus the unknown number of 'refugees' we will be forced to take. Our national debt will continue to spiral out of control if we stay in, and we won't get any benefit from it, but other countries will.

I beg, plead, go on my hands and knees to ask you to do a bit more research on the EU. It isn't the safe and pretty offering that Cameron claims. When you get down to the nuts and bolts of the EU is it is very frightening indeed, and all the signs are there, if only you will open your eyes and look at the facts instead of the spin generated by the EU and the people on it's payroll.

If you don't trust politicians then watch this from Sir Patrick Moore. This is the view of professionals from all fields.

Agreed. The Luddites hated labour saving machinery. That isn't what we have here. AWeb have taken an efficient website and tuned it into a 'time-consuming, inefficient and impossible to find what you want', website, which would have been adored by Luddites. But it looks 'pretty'.

We need avatars on comments/responses. Reason being, for example, we have two David Winches, one MLR, one marketing. The avatar made it easy to distinguish the poster, instead of having to remember the exact username format, or go off to look at the members profile.
We badly need to be able to 'edit' from the post, rather than the profile, and less boxes and graphics, and .... :(

Staying in is for the risk takers. I read today that the EU put a 30 yr ban (in 2013) to prevent the public from viewing the TTIP negotiation documents! Thank goodness for Greenpeace.

If we get Brexit, then we have 2 years to sort out the important stuff. The rest can be changed later. Here comes a whinge - if Cameron doesn't stop throwing millions of our money around the EU (and non-EU) countries like confetti .... then I am going to assassinate him! (just a joke - I wouldn't really do it but the desire is there!)

My profile describes me as a blogger, which I am not. I've looked through the explanations above and looked at my profile, but can't find any options to change this.

What are the other options, other than blogger, and how do I change it, please.

It may also encourage more people to buy British. That would be an extra bonus as it would help our economy. I am sick of hearing (in newspapers) how workers will lose all their hard won rights to holiday pay, etc. if we leave the EU. If TTIP goes through we can forget about having any rights at all.

ps. Why did the EU give a grant to Ford, to help them move production from the UK to Turkey. I thought being a member of the EU was supposed to benefit us.
(I can't edit my previous post).

If the newspapers are to believed then the UK are giving money to Italy (and France) to help with their unemployment problem. France is still threatening us with one thing or another if we Brexit. In other words, not much has changed while you were away. :)
