I couldn't agree more with you on the lack of available software/systems to actually test and hence recommend to clients. Sage are probably the most frustrating, like getting blood out of a stone for pricing, availability and the possibility of actually getting hand on demos. TAS which they took over and wrecked apparently will now offer a module for MTD, but the sting in the tail, customers if they dont have a support contract must upgrade/tale out contract and then on top pay a further £25 a month for the MTD module!
Asked Sage for pricing and a trial of this product. No response for 3 days, then a "Development Manger" responded saying there was no trial as the product is "free" as long as you purchase a subscription to Sage Cloud Accounting at £15 per month.
I don't have a problem with the £15 if that what it takes, but please Sage how can a practice evaluate your product if you cannot provide a trial/demo access to it.
Looks like we will opt for Capium, they at least answer sensibly queries and give out proper pricing info and a trial. So goodbye Sage Accounts Production. Sage now lose out twice over !
