I received a professional clearance for one of my clients that owed money.. I sent an email to the accountants telling them that i would pass on all info once the outstanding account was paid. They just responded ok they would give the client a nudge... I find honesty the best policy.....

Thank you, I am guessing you are correct although I cannot see anywhere on the Invoice where it states Second Hand Goods scheme.

None as of today. But you get not to expect much from HMRC these days!

K81 As I understand it the Client will have to update details from their own online account. So ALL clients in the future will require an online HMRC account.
Apparently there is a stakeholder communications pack of which again the majority of the Agents in the room knew nothing about which gives additional information.

Went to an AAT / HMRC event and HMRC confirmed much to the amazement of all in the room that you WONT see a client list on the New Agent online portal. You will not see a breakdown of the liabilities for each client and no history of filing. Needless to say there were a lot of unhappy agents in the room!!
we were told you will only be able to see what has been submitted through the MTD software you use. The old Agent Government Gateway account will still be available but will not be updated to show any submissions for tax, vat or corporation tax after 01.04.2019.

This situation is not always the clients fault. What happens if you have been chasing the previous accountants and you still get no response? Is that the clients fault?

I have put all of the withdrawals into the Directors loan account. The debate I am having with him is I feel the company should issue a dividend to clear the account where as he is stating that he feels it should be investments for the business.
Update - As he can not produce me any documents, he says he can't print anything off, we have agreed that he will no longer withdraw any money for investing in cryptocurrency and the company will issue a dividend to clear the overdrawn directors account.
Thank you all for taking the time to respond.

The director (landscape gardening business) is using a personal cryptocurrency account and withdrawing money right left and centre. He has already lost a significant amount with some online trading in stocks and shares. He has had a conversation (as they all do) with his mate down the pub and guess what his mate has made loads of money from his dealings!! My actual feeling is that he is just gambling with the company money.

Never price low to get work... You end up working for nothing!!. Explain what you have to do for the client and stick to your quote, then if he asks for additional services, management accounts, advice etc... charge him additional fees.
