But..... And I'm willing to be corrected here, isn't it illegal to record a conversation without the other persons knowledge? That point should be something you can easily check without a lawyer.
Try using Sumif - to return the total of the results which should also give you a nil return too; if the nil return doesn't work you could start the formula with if(Iserror..
Hope that helps but if not pm me a sample of data and I will return it with the formulas.
Charity Commission Have a look at the charity commission website. The guides they produce are comprehensive and will clearly explain your obligations and options.
As you say the company has deducted one too many payments from your bank account I assume it has been claimed via direct debit.
If so the rules around direct debits state that the company must have informed you of the amout deducted prior to the payment (I can't recall the exact number of days); if t is a duplicate you won't have had this notification. If this is the case speak to your bank and ask to get the money back via the direct debit indemnity scheme. Your bank should credit your account and then claim the money back from the other companies bank.
If the description below describes what you need send me a sample of your data as I have a macro that will fill in the blanks -: if you have "Joe" in cell A1 & "Bloggs" in cell A100 it will copy Joe into cells A2 - A99 and then Bloggs from A101 onwards until a prompt tells it to stop.
It is easier to show you than to explain but it uses a "loop" and may complete the next step you mention too (if I have understood your post correctly).
It depends how you install Nortons, if it is from a disk then don't connect to the internet until you have completed the installation; but the protection will only be as good as the date the disk was produced. Once you are back online check for updates.
If you are downloading files from the internet to install Nortons you will download a .exe file and you can do the installation offline.
However I found Nortons to cause my laptop to go slow, I currently use Eset Smart Security which, in my opinion, is great. I started off with a 30 day trial version before paying for the product so I knew what I was signing up for.
Why not recruit a HR professional to the committee of trustees? Expert advice on hand for those issues affecting the charity whilst allowing you to still use to low cost CVS / Voluntary Action organisations.

Charity Commission
Try the Charity Commission website, they have a section called "start up a charity" that should give you a good starting place.
Also search on Charitable Incorporated Organisations - the new legal form for charities which is still with parliament.
Not sure about social clubs etc but I'm sure somebody else can help.

Direct Debit?

Hope it all works out,

Fingers crossed
I hope you are able to retrieve these from the archive as I had saved many good posts that I wanted to keep for reference.
