What Caseware says

Used by many FTSE organisations and accounting practices small to large, CaseWare AccountsAdvanced is the quickest and most flexible financial reporting solution available today. Driven by a paperless data collection process, the core features of the product include: drill down from the face of the accounts to both summary and transaction level lead schedules, annotations and supporting evidence linked directly to the numbers.

With comprehensive journal handling, sign-off procedures, milestones, tickmarks and an issues management tool, your reporting process is both robust and efficient.

The ability to create, store and re-use custom-built notes directly linked to source data and validated automatically makes CaseWare AccountsAdvanced the easiest tool to tailor.

2018 roadmap

The accounts production application completely integrates with CaseWare Practice Management, Audit, Corp Tax and our unique Smart Sync solution for distance working. CaseWare continues to invest in developing specialist templates and more comprehensive integration with CaseWare Cloud solutions such as CaseWare Analytics and AI.

What AccountingWEB says

CaseWare stands alone in our survey results as the only visible rival to CCH in the large firm market for accounts production tools and among corporate users. A longstanding flagship in this sector, CaseWare’s share of the Accounting Excellence Software Awards survey sample has taken a dent in the past year. The dip follows niggles during the transition to new UK GAAP that prompted practitioners on AccountingWEB to complain that the developer had taken its eye off the ball when implementing vital technical changes.

Nevertheless, for those needing to deal with more complex group reporting requirements or audit engagements, CaseWare includes workflow and process management features not found in many products.

For the current year, attention will be focused more on MTD for VAT, giving CaseWare time to iron out any kinks and address the likely needs of accounts preparers and auditors as they plan new processes for the age of cloud, AI and MTD.
