What Wolters Kluwer says
CCH Central is an integrated suite of accounting software tools to support managing your practice, providing compliance and added value services. It includes accounts, tax, practice and document management functionality.
CCH Central gives you a ‘client centric’ view. Contact details, WIP, debt, billing history, accounts, tax returns, task lists and more, can be accessed from a single application. You can configure CCH Central for each user, providing access to information and functionality relevant within their role.
Integrating with CCH Central, CCH OneClick is a set of cloud tools with advisor and client workspaces allowing you to connect to your digital ecosystem and to your client’s Digital Tax Account.
The Advisor Workspace introduces a range of cloud tools opening the software to other systems. For example, Open Integration enables you access to import data from a range of online bookkeeping software, with the ability to synchronise adjustments with Xero, Sage One, Exact and Twinfield. QuickBooks two way synchronisation will be available in the near future. Digital Data Collection tools give you the ability to request, review and chase your client’s data. Practice Mobile allows you to work remotely and securely with your CCH Central data.
The Client Workspace gives your clients instant, secure access to all the documents, files and compliance output that you want to share with them, together with secure messaging and document approval. By integrating these workspaces, it prevents messages, documents and data being sent to the wrong client.
2018 Roadmap

What AccountingWEB says
AccountingWEB’s user feedback data shows that Wolters is pre-eminent among the largest accountancy practices, and the average fee income of its customers is more than twice that of its big rivals IRIS, Sage and Thomson Reuters. The CCH Central suite was originally assembled from a disparate collection of acquisitions, but has slowly evolved into a sophisticated, end-to-end model that now incorporates bookkeeping data from its own Twinfield app and the other accounting engines.
As part of the Dutch-owned multinational Wolters Kluwer, CCH branded software can call on the sophisticated technologies demanded by larger firms - evident from a look at the suite’s product features, which include workflow tools, audit automation and working papers, alerts and the new CCH OneClick cloud portal and workspace. But Wolters Kluwer also suffers from some typical large company traits: the pace of development can be frustratingly slow and the sophistication on offer sometimes goes over the head of smaller firms. If they look more carefully, says Wolters Kluwer, they may be pleasantly surprised.
