What Practice Ignition says

Smart accountants and bookkeepers use Practice Ignition to price their fixed fee services, collect client payments, eliminate their debtors and automate their firm’s workflow solution. Practice Ignition is the ultimate client onboarding tool for all cloud accountants. Carrying debtors is now a thing of the past.

This year Practice Ignition has focused on developing features such as our fixed fee service library, a brand new client acceptance page that allows you to customise and brand professional looking proposals and accept a wide variety of payments that automatically reconcile your invoices back in your cloud accounting software.

We also integrated into the Zapier platform allowing firms to integrate Practice Ignition into over 1,000 different applications, triggering workflows, updating CRM systems, automatically sending emails and SMS to clients. The possibilities are endless.

You’ll also see new improvements to our Xero Practice Manager/Workflow Max integration as well as new workflow integrations such as Karbon.

What AccountingWEB says

Originating from Australia, where it formed a strong relationship with Xero users, Practice Ignition pioneered the relatively new category of “on boarding” software for practitioners. There is a slight cultural imperative at work here, as the Australian Tax Office encourages taxpayers to sign annual compliance arrangements, which often trigger reviews of their accounting engagement letters.

Without the same regulatory impetus behind it, Practice Ignition is growing more slowly in the UK. As one of the Xero HQ suite of recommended apps, it has gained a following among the more pro-active members of the Xero practice community, who appreciate the advantages of effective onboarding processes. Indigenous developers like Senta and AccountancyManager are emulating Practice Ignition’s model, but the onboarding pioneer remains a distinctive alternative thanks to its narrow focus on onboarding and emphasis on customer support and education. Its blogs, social media activity and other resources are well worth a look for anyone with an interest in practice development.
