What AccountingWEB says

It has taken many years for Intuit to build acceptance for QuickBooks Online in the UK, but the pace of the company’s shift from desktop to cloud accounting is accelerating rapidly. The company is now breathing down Xero’s neck as the leading online supplier in the UK, particularly among practices that are taking up cloud tools to meet the challenges of Making Tax Digital.

Part of that success is down to aggressive pricing, but Intuit also has deep pockets. Over the past few years it has been ramping up its support for the profession with regular events and people in the field to educate accountants and help them bring clients on-board.

While the product’s functionality continues to improve rapidly, some users still bridle over Americanisms in the interface. Likewise, investments in AI and fintech tend to be implemented and tested in north America first before they become available to the rest of the world.
