What AccountingWEB says
VT Transaction+ has been one of the mainstays of the small practice accounting software market for many, many years. Designed as an data collection/input companion for the company’s VT Final Accounts package, VTT+ is notable for its speed, ease of use and flexibility.
VT Transaction+ still performs very competitively in our annual survey - just missing out on the Practitioner’s Choice award for Small Business Accounting Software in our Accounting Excellence Awards 2018 - but its share of the voting population has been in decline for the past few years.
The introduction of Making Tax Digital accelerated the use of cloud accounting in the UK and posed a new challenge for the developer, but strong demand from loyal users prompted VT Software to recommit to developing its bookkeeping tool for MTD in December 2018. The change of strategy directly addressed concerns raised among users rating the software and will be widely welcomed by many of the small practitioners who frequent AccountingWEB. There looks to be life in the old desktop challenger yet.
