David Cameron has released a video on YouTube outlining his response to the MP expenses scandal.

The short film features footage from his press conference, as well as a direct public address from Cameron himself, in which he claims to have instituted a crackdown on expenses within the Conservative Party.

Cameron insists there will be "No more claiming for anything apart from rent, hotel bills, mortgage interest relief and simple utility bills". He also states that Tory MPs will no longer be permiited to claim for food, furniture 'and all the things that have caused such public disquiet'.

Conservative MPs will no longer be allowed to change the designation of their first and second homes for capital gains tax avoidance. "Anyone who does so on their home will have to pay capital gains tax on it", said Cameron.

He also goes on to admit: "It's going to take some time before we dig our politics out of the trough we've all put ourselves into".
