Advisers invited to shape tax policy

On Tuesday Treasury minister David Gauke confirmed the government’s intention to establish an Office of Tax Simplification (OTS). Introducing a report entitled Tax policy making: a new approach (320KB PDF) the Exchequer Secretary to the Treasury noted, “I am frequently told by businesses and the tax profession about the importance of predictability, stability and simplicity in the tax system.
