The Competition Commission has published a batch of documents in relation to the statutory audit services market investigation.
The investigation team has started with the publication of a set of case studies on companies covering a variety of industry sectors including banking, insurance, investments, retail, oil and gas and industrial products.
The companies were audited by Big Four and non-Big Four firms. Some had recently changed or tendered their audit firm whereas others had had the same audit firm for a number of years.
It has also released working papers, including the Barriers to Entry Framework working paper which refers to a hearing summary with PKF which the CC expects to publish early next week.
