Hillgrove trial: Witnesses for the prosecution

Since our previous report from the tax fraud trial of celebrity PR Richard Hillgrove, the intervening weeks have seen a procession of prosecution witnesses from Hillgrove’s former accountants, and the HMRC investigation team that arrested him.

The case has taken longer than most, partly because Hillgrove is defending himself and being allowed extra leeway by the judge to put his case. At one point, however, the judge castigated prosecution QC Joss Ticehurst for dragging out the process.
