The economic outlook is still uncertain, but many companies that tightened their belts during the recession need to raise their horizons beyond their bank balances and next set of annual results.

Economic recovery is going to come from private sector growth, but how well equipped are UK businesses - and their finance departments - to meet this challenge?

The analysts at AccountingWEB.co.uk’s stablemate K2 Advisory are carrying out a survey to assess the UK’s growth prospects. Conducted in association with Exact, the study will map the opportunities and risks facing finance managers, and identify the constraints that might be holding companies back.

So far more than 150 executives have shared their experiences and thoughts by answering an online questionnaire. Why not take a few minutes to join them? Those who take part will be entered into a prize draw for an Apple iPad 2 tablet computer.

The survey takes about 5mins to complete and covers:

  • Growth prospects and international expansion
  • Financial controls & compliance
  • Reporting processes
  • People issues.

After sifting the results, K2’s Kate Hanaghan and Katy Ring will discuss their findings in an online webinar scheduled for 8 September.

Take the survey now to help K2 find out where finance departments are experiencing the most pain – and what successful managers are doing to overcome the hurdles they face.
