Birmingham tax adviser David Douglass was jailed for 18 months after stealing £400,000 in VAT and income tax fraud.

Douglass did not declare income or pay tax on his £1m earnings for 13 years, an HMRC investigation found.

13 years tax free

9 months in a min security jail

and a claw back of anything he hasn't spent or hidden very well.

Not THAT much disincentive here is there?
