PPR and transfer of property to spouse

This month's first question comes from Sound Advice and relates to PPR and transferring property to a spouse. The client purchased a property in Manchester in his name in 2011 for approximately 500,000. He immediately moved into the property with his wife. They lived there as their main residence until 2016.

In mid-2016 they moved out and started renting the property out and bought another house that they moved into that year. Two years later the property was transferred into both names and now they're looking at selling the house for around £950,000.

The question really is about if the client's wife can have PPR or not?

Company car advice to company director owners

AccountingWEB member MC1 asks: "Am I alone in thinking that company car advice to owner directors is a minefield and getting worse? Rules change regularly and the compounded options seem to make it impossible to cover all bases."

Is there such a product to solve all these issues? Tim Good reckons he has the answer.
