FreeAgent launches ‘handy’ mobile updatesby
FreeAgent recently released several mobile updates to improve admin tasks for clients, alongside a new integration with Bristol fintech itsettled.
iOS mobile app optimised for iPad
Customers who use an iPad now have full access to the platform’s functionality. Updates include capturing expenses and explaining bank transactions to re-consenting bank feeds.
The iOS mobile app also has a new layout tailored for the iPad’s bigger screen.
Share existing files
The mobile app’s Capture for Later feature allows users to snap pictures of receipts and store them in the Files area of the FreeAgent account.
Clients can now also import existing files and attachments from their mobile devices into FreeAgent.
Agents can then attach clients’ stored files to expenses or bank transactions on the desktop version of FreeAgent. Alternatively, clients can attach their own files using either the desktop version of FreeAgent or the mobile app.
Enable multiple bank feeds
Bank feeds can now be enabled by clients on the FreeAgent mobile app and set up multiple feeds from the same bank in one go.
By using fingerprint or face recognition to authorise the bank feed setup, online banking login details are removed from the process.
Access to Payit for business customers
Level 8 clients with NatWest, Royal Bank of Scotland and Ulster Bank NI business current accounts set as their primary bank account in FreeAgent can now access Payi on both the FreeAgent mobile app and the desktop version of FreeAgent.
Clients without the FreeAgent mobile app can download it for free from the App Store or the Google Play Store.
Integration with itsettled
Bristol-based debt collection platform itsettled has recently announced its first integration with FreeAgent. The NatWest-backed startup fintech currently offers automated and legally compliant debt collection services to 30,000 businesses.
FreeAgent’s customers can now use itsettled’s fully automated process without prior knowledge of a credit control system.
“We’re very excited by this partnership,” said itsettled co-founder Glen Martin. “Over the last 12 months we have been a member of the NatWest Accelerator and have learned a great deal about FreeAgent - which is part of the NatWest Group.
“Unlike other software providers on the market, we provide a debt collection process that is proven and effective. No other firm has our level of confidence in their process - which is why we provide our guarantee.
“Our aim is to eradicate the late payment culture we have in this country, and with it the mental health impact late payments can have on business owners.”
FreeAgent clients can either go directly to itsettled, or find itsettled on the FreeAgent integrations page and follow the link to start chasing debts.
itsettled is hosting a webinar on 7 April at 11:30 to celebrate its first integration, where attendees will be offered a special introductory offer. The webinar will focus on integrating itsettled with accountancy software.
