Microsoft previews SME accounts program

Microsoft this week showed US developers its Small Business Accounting application, which is due to be released in September.

International versions are expected to arrive around 18 months later, according to Orlando Ayala, senior vice president of Microsoft's Small and Midmarket Solutions & Partner Group.

Like other Office products, the Small Business Accounting program will be available individually, or as part of an Office Small Business Management Edition bundle. This will include a business contact manager running in tandem with Outlook.
