The integrations with both IRIS Practice Management and the CCH Central database allow connected users to sync client data, removing the need to update client information in multiple places.

It also enables users to access client documents from the cloud and work with team members anywhere in the world.

“Through these integrations, we’re extending how many firms can run a hybrid model of desktop tax and accounts software while having one foot in the cloud with document and workflow management,” UK territory manager Ian Cooper told AccountingWEB.

“Our business process automation saves users time by automating the bits between the tasks and reducing admin overhead,” continued Cooper.

Launched in the UK last year, FYI combines document management with process automation, creating documents with FYI templates that determine where they are filed and triggering a variety of different tasks.

One specific example cited by the vendor is around taking on a new client, where an acceptance email can trigger a 10-step workflow that creates the necessary documents and attachments, assigns jobs to individuals and drafts emails ready to be sent back. Users can also automate routines for job management and client reminders.

Along with the new integrations with CCH and IRIS, FYI has strong links with Xero and integrates with Microsoft Office 365.

Incoming emails can be auto-filed and prioritised, with attachments automatically saved. Users can delegate tasks linked to an email in FYI without leaving Outlook, and add a comment to an email or attached document to share with their team.

At the time of writing, FYI offers packages from £5 and £30 per user per month, depending on feature requirements. For full pricing details visit the FYI site.
