Technology is permanently changing, but how are accountants adapting to it?

From mobile working to cloud accounting to paperless office and online presence, accountancy has been transformed in the past 10 years.

To get a snapshot of how practitioners are embracing technology in the day-to-day running of their practices, Thomson Reuters has launched a technology in practice survey on AccountingWEB.

The survey asks for insights on eight quick questions concerning your journey to the web. Are you planning it? Or are you already there, and if so, what do you think of it and how could it improve?

In keeping with the technology-based theme, there’s also a chance to win a Kindle Fire HD tablet, or one of five runners-up prizes of £20 Amazon vouchers.

The results will be published on AccountingWEB shortly after the survey ends, and will also help Thomson Reuters to align its tax and accounting offerings for customers.

Cloud-based solutions have arguably had a huge impact on the profession in as little as five years, giving advisers access to clients’ accounts in real time, providing environmental benefits and diminishing IT costs.

Take part in the survey now to let us know what technology strategies your practice is putting in place - whether it’s all, or nothing at all.
