The attendees of the AccountingWEB Live Expo will be one of the first to find out which software vendors will be duking it out for one of the coveted AccountingWEB Software Awards.

The shortlisted vendors will be announced at a glamorous event on the night of the first day of the AccountingWEB’s inaugural exhibition at Coventry’s Building Society Arena on 1 December.

The next day, accounting professionals will be able to see the shortlist up close on the exhibition stands.

Accounting professionals are encouraged to cast their vote now to ensure their favourite software is recognised with Software Award glory when the winners are announced in Spring 2021.

FreeAgent took home the most gongs at last year’s Software Awards, picking up the hat-trick of small business accounting software, data and expense management software, and the much sought after practitioner’s choice.

TaxCalc was the second most decorated software winner after bagging prizes in professional tax software and accounts production.

Other winners last year looking to hold on to their crown are Capium, Clarity, iPlicit, Fluidly, the Payroll Site Satago and Whisper Claims.

Celebrating the best accounting tech

Established in 2006, the AccountingWEB Software Awards celebrates the very best in accounting technology.

Voted for by the public in what is now the UK's biggest survey of accounting software, previous ceremonies have polled nearly 13,000 votes making these awards as popular with the audience as they are with the eventual winners.

This year sees a complete relaunch of the AccountingWEB Software Awards, with a brand-new on-site voting mechanism that ensures votes come from registered AccountingWEB members.

Build your software wishlists

The Software Awards gives the accounting profession the opportunity to rate the software that has become integral to their practice or finance function.

Having the awards announced at the live exhibition, attendees get the opportunity to demo the shortlisted software on the show floor and see first-hand the reason why these vendors have scored highly from their fellow accounting professionals.

The award recognition, in addition to the opportunity to showcase products at the exhibition, will help the accountant attendees compile their software wishlists before the 2022 buying season.

"The AccountingWEB Software Awards have always shone a spotlight on those pioneering tech vendors that are transforming the industry. These awards are voted on by accountants - that's insight, recommendation and recognition from the people that matter. There is no greater endorsement!,” said Tom Dunkerley, CEO Sift.

“We're delighted that we will be revealing the shortlists for each of the categories after Day One. It's a fantastic way for the vendor community to celebrate the end of the year and to showcase their achievements directly at the Expo."

“By revealing the shortlists for the AccountingWEB Software Awards at the Expo, we are giving our audience the unique opportunity to demo and experience the very best software live over the two days,” added Mike Goldsmith, Event Content Director (Global). “Shortlisted vendors will be able to proudly place their Shortlisted badges on their stands! No other event will bring exhibitors and visitors together like this.”
