The partnership enables credit control service Chaser to add corporate payments and open banking technology into its suite of products.

Through the new ‘Chaser Pay’ service, users have the option to automatically embed “pay now’’ buttons or links to digital invoice reminders from Chaser’s software. It has multiple payment options available such as instant card payments, direct debit, and international bank transfers.

Through Chaser’s summary page or ‘payment portal’, Chaser users and their customers can view all paid and due invoices and can access and download relevant documentation.

Chaser’s payment portals are connected to a user's main account, so users can include payment links on email templates, add notes to specific customer portals from their ‘Receivables’ tab, and customise their portal from within Chaser.

What is ‘embedded’ finance?

Embedded finance refers to services or tools stitched into non-financial businesses’ infrastructures, often provided by white-label developers such as UNIPaaS, without the need to redirect to traditional financial institutions.

Generally provided at point of sale, examples of these types of services include payments, insurance, or loans/buy-now-pay-later tools such as Klarna.

While many accounting software platforms offer reporting, forecasting or analytics solutions integrated within the tool, few have embedded finance solutions, preferring to integrate with third-party vendors.

In the current uncertain economic environment, embedded partnerships such as Chaser and UNIPaaS present a potential opportunity for small businesses to streamline the order-to-cash process and are an example of how Open Banking could change the way businesses operate.

One-stop solution

Founded in Tel Aviv in 2020 by former SafeCharge CEO David Avgi, UNIPaaS bills itself as a “one-stop, white-label payment solution for businesses, which integrates seamlessly with accounting software”.
The developer has been steadily increasing its sphere of influence in the accounting profession, last year announcing partnerships with IRIS, Capium and Nomisma, providing users with financial services alongside the practice suite players' core software products.
