Digita signals new practice management product

Exmouth-based tax and accountancy software developer Digita has signalled its intention to take on the likes of Sage, CCH and IRIS when it launches a new practice management product next week.

Digita's Practice Management package has become an open industry secret in recent weeks and will complete the developer's portfolio of practice tools based around Microsoft's SQL Server database and .NET development architecture.

Digita managing director Jerry Rihll confirmed as much in March when explaining his reasons for undertaking the development work to create the ICAEW IT Faculty's prototype Open Standard for data exchange.

Should be impressive
If this new product is a fraction as good as Digita's Accounts Pro and Taxability Pro, it will be a very impressive product, and based on very modern and solid .Net technology to boot, so no worries about it becoming outdated. I know that Digita have sought much feedback from their existing users of other products, so it should be a huge help to us in our existing practices.

Am looking forward very much to hearing more details next week at the Digita conference, and maybe seeing a demo of it.
