One of the star players in Scotland's cricket team is an accountant.

Spin-bowling all-rounder Majid Haq, has an honours degree from the University of Paisley and is working for an accountancy firm, the Telegraph reported.

AccountingWEB would love to hear from Haq, or his colleagues, about how his experience in the, er, field, helps him in his accountancy career and vice versa.

Scotland was defeated by Australia earlier this week. Stand-in skipper Preston Mommsen told the BBC that Scotland will focus on automatic qualification for the 2015 World Cup.

The team will go to Belfast to face Ireland in two critical World Cricket League Championship ODIs on Friday and Sunday.

The top two sides will qualify automatically for the 2015 World Cup, with Scotland currently in fourth.

Leeds Rhinos player Kylie Leuluai is also studying to be an accountant I believe.
