The template for mTrio comes from Jessica Pillow of Pillow May. The Chippenham-based cloud pioneer joined forces with some of her clients who were Salesforce.com programmers to devise a tool that help her run her firm the Pillow May way.

Having created her ideal practice management system, Pillow and her colleagues decided that other accountants might like it too. Making its debut in the autumn of 2016, mTrio integrates with Dropbox, Xero, Digita and the other products she uses. The software acts as an information hub that ties together compliance tools, client records and communications, and marketing activities.

Product

Integration lies at the heart of the mTrio product strategy. Apps and services such as MainChimp, Dropbox and Google Drive all connect into the Salesforce-based platform. It also links to email and text messaging platforms to monitor what is going in and out to clients. These ties allow mTrio to save emails to client folders so anyone within the team can see them.

The program includes a routine to automate client onboarding, so when a new client’s data is inputted into the system they will receive a welcome text. Whenever something has been filed under their mTrio account, the can automatically alert them by email.

As part of the implementation process, the developer will set up the software to cater for the user’s current processes through a consultation exercise. If new processes are envisaged, mTrio can also help to build them.
