UK operator says no comment to an Observer report identifying it as the exclusive provider of the Palm device. Jon Wilcox reports.
The Observer has reported that O2 has signed an exclusive deal to become the UK operator of Palms upcoming Pre Smartphone. The reports publication comes just weeks after Sprint was confirmed as the US carrier for the highly-anticipated device, which debuted at this years Consumer Electronics Show.
The Pre is Palms attempt to launch into the Smartphone sector, which is dominated by RIMs BlackBerry range and Apples iPhone. O2 has been the UK-exclusive iPhone provider since the touch-screen device launched in 2007. However, the mobile operator has stayed away from confirming the article.
