Technology firms shortlisted for the UK’s largest business software survey gathered at the Brewery in London on Thursday evening find out the winners for the AccountingWEB Software Satisfaction Awards.
After a four-year hiatus, the awards returned with a bang, with more than 7,000 surveys completed by users keen to register their feedback.
Countdown’s very own number-cruncher Rachel Riley was on hand to present the awards, with big winners on the night including TaxCalc, who came away with three awards, and Thomson Reuters, who picked up two.
A nod must also go to FreeAgent, which picked up the prestigious small business accounting and bookkeeping tools award, which registered more than 3,000 of ratings submitted by users.
Speaking at the ceremony AccountingWEB global editor John Stokdyk commented: “The Software Excellence Awards are based on almost 7,500 end-user product reviews, so we’re able to identify the technology suppliers delivering the best customer experience in each market.
“AccountingWEB’s mission is to ‘help those involved in the accounting profession to be better at what they do’. Our methods for identifying excellence through direct user feedback, and then showcasing that excellence to the wider community is what makes these awards so unique. If you’ve been shortlisted, or if you win, it’s because you’re delivering excellence in products, in services and in experiences; and you deserve recognition for that.”
Prizes were also handed out for the Practice Excellence Awards – details of which can be found here.
Look out for further coverage in the weeks and months ahead as the winners share the secrets of their success and AccountingWEB presents more detailed findings on trends within the accounting software industry.
