In the final for the innovation category, Fluidly saw off challenges from the AI analytics and audit tool Inflo, Sage's platform-agnostic MTD data viewer, the new Xero Tax module, and an online platform for auditing bank assets from Circuit. Choosing a winner from such a mixed bag was difficult, but the judges were ultimately swayed by the timeliness of Fluidly's offering.
Commentary: “All of the innovation entrants had their merits. Inflo, Xero Tax, Circuit and Sage's VAT Center might get an opportunity to come into their own over the next couple of years, but given the stresses on business during 2020, Fluidly responded by releasing its Goal Planner module to support urgent cost-cutting and revenue-loss models. The words of one judge echoed testimonials from several accountants who had applied the Goal Planner across their client portfolios: ‘You can see how useful this was for anyone who needed to apply for CBILS loans. It’s a great product that fulfils an immediate need.’”
