MyFirmsApp appoints Mike Page as head of product management
MyFirmsApp has appointed Mike Page as head of product management and customer experience strategy.
Page previously held various positions with software companies such as Advanced, IRIS and Sage.
This newly created role is part of a strategic plan to further improve the product and grow the company’s user community.
The new appointment follows the introduction of OneApp, a platform of custom apps designed to improve the speed of app development for professional firms.

Xero improves bank feeds
HSBC has upgraded its direct bank feed to enhance Xero integration, the New Zealand-based cloud accounting developer announced.
The new bank feed, which uses Xero’s API, is fully automated and only needs to be set-up once without repeated logins. Xero users only need their HSBC account login to set up the feed.
Joint customers who were already using the previous version of the HSBC feed have been automatically upgraded to the new feed, which has also dropped its price to £1.50 per month.

Sage announces global partnership to improve customer feedback
Sage has partnered with the real-time customer engagement provider supplier Rant&Rave.
The partnership will enable Sage to capture feedback in real-time across the customer journey through multiple channels (from SMS, to emails and listening posts) and will be using Frontline Engagement technology to gamify the employee experience and drive stronger engagement with staff.
John Patterson, VP customer experience at Sage commented: “With millions of users across 23 countries worldwide, driving customer obsession is core to the success of our business. Rant & Rave understands our need to be able to connect with our customers in real-time and empower our employees to respond dynamically. Accountex 2018: Visitor registration is now open
Accountex 2018, which will take place at ExCeL in London on 23-24 May, is now offering visitor registration.
The event will involve seminars, 200 exhibitors and 150 expert speakers including small business adviser Carl Reader, Caroline Plumb OBE from Fluidly, Ed Molyneux from FreeAgent, the ICPA’s chairman Tony Margaritelli, and AccountingWEB’s global editor John Stokdyk.
