Xero launches complimentary MTD tools
Xero has added free Making Tax Digital functionality to its VAT-supported products. The suite of features will be complimentary and won’t require upgrades or additional fees for existing users.
Xero’s suite of MTD-ready products feature a range of built-in functionality to provide a view of the VAT returns that are due, calculate how much VAT is due, identify the method of payment and keep a history of the filed VAT returns.
Xero will continue to support the use of spreadsheets to calculate VAT and keep records in conjunction with bridging software to upload VAT figures onto the Xero platform.
The new Bank Match feature is designed to speed up the reconciliation process so users no longer have to manually check between items submitted through Receipt Bank against items in the bank section of Sage Accounting.
Bank Match identifies items in Receipt Bank that correspond with existing transactions on the Bank Feed, enabling users to auto-fill payment details in the items.
Additionally, Receipt Bank has announced a feature to optimise the process of communicating with clients who have outstanding paperwork to submit. The new feature, which is now available for Sage Accounting users on Receipt Bank Optimize, allows users to create reconciliation reports listing all items awaiting submission, which can be sent to the clients.
Tipalti announces new financial management partnerships
