AccountancyManager integration with Xero
AccountancyManager has updated its software with a number of new features and has announced an upcoming Xero integration.
Among the new features, the practice management solution now allows users to send automated emails from users assigned to a task instead of the ‘manager’ of the client, to prevent clients from receiving emails from members of the team that they do not recognise.
Other updates include the addition of an option to ignore blank option in fee structures, additional VAT, MA and custom service frequencies, ability to archive all read notifications, a new setting to show the client's internal reference on the task list and ability to view previously cleared or invoiced WIP.
Additionally, AccountancyManager is set to automatically synchronise client data with a new Xero integration.

VT will develop MTD functionality
VT Software, which had previously stated it would stop development of VT Transaction+ for MTD, informed its users this week that it will be implementing MTD directly into VT Transaction+ and VT Cash Book in July 2019.
The software developer has also announced the development of an Excel-based bridging product for use with VAT groups and other situations where the VAT return cannot be transmitted directly from VT Transaction+.
Agents will be able to make use of the MTD features in VT Transaction+ through their VT Accounts license, which will remain available at its current price. VT has also specified that VT Cash Book will remain free but a VT Accounts or VT Transaction+ license key will be required to access the MTD features.
