Hydr launches proprietary invoice finance platform

Invoice financing fintech Hydr has released its proprietary invoice finance platform to help small businesses manage cashflow.

Co-founded by fintech experts Nicola Weedall and Hector Macandrew, Hydr (pronounced Hi-der) offers fully digital onboarding, real-time funding decisions, transparent terms and fixed fees. Hydr pays the full value of an invoice within 24 hours, minus a fully priced fixed fee.

“The success of a business shouldn’t be determined by its ability to wait for payment,” said Weedall. “I’ve seen first-hand the transformative impact that managing cash flow has, so we remove the barrier of waiting for payment by paying invoices in full within 24 hours. Our technology securely simplifies the whole process, end to end, with transparency”.

According to the fintech, Hydr’s digital onboarding process takes minutes. Once connected to Xero, funding decisions are provided in real-time. Businesses create their invoices in one simple step, a fixed fee is calculated for the invoice and Hydr ‘takes care of the rest’, and promises no hidden extras or additional charges to the fixed fee.

“We have created Hydr to change how we think about two things,” added Macandrew. “The almost cultural acceptance that late payments just happen in this economy, and that invoice financing is only considered as a last resort. Invoice financing done properly is a powerful tool to optimise cash flow, enabling business leaders to plan their future with confidence.”

Emburse launches Emburse Audit

Expense management and accounts payable automation Emburse, has unveiled AI-powered expense auditing solution Emburse Audit

Emburse’s Audit solution ensures accurate and in-policy expense reimbursement. It combines machine learning with independent human auditors to improve speed and compliance, and reduce wasteful spending and fraud.

Emburse Audit initially analyses expense transactions against pre-defined criteria to assess the probability of compliance with an organisation’s reimbursement policies. Those with a high probability of error are routed to independent human auditors for review.

“Emburse Audit is an incredibly intelligent solution that combines smart technology with independent human verification,” said Emburse CEO Eric Friedrichsen. “This delivers significant savings by eliminating out-of-policy approvals, and since it enables a more streamlined approval process, it also means faster reimbursements and happier team members.”

The solution is currently available for customers of Emburse Certify and Emburse Chrome River.

untied partners with can.did

Personal tax app untied has partnered with UK female business owners benefits programme can.did.

untied’s app connects users’ bank accounts, enables them to tag income and expenses, and submit their tax returns from a mobile. The app also provides full, real-time tax calculations for annual tax bills.

can.did is a networking app for female business owners, with access to health, financial and lifestyle benefits and incentives to safeguard working and personal lives.

“We’ve seen that more and more people are leaving secure jobs and setting up on their own than ever before,” said untied CEO Kevin Sefton. “It’s an exciting time for female founders – but starting up and keeping going comes with its own challenges. So if we can help in a small way by making taxes simpler for can.did’s members and helping them navigate the system and stay ahead of deadlines, that makes everything more worthwhile.”

Revolut Business launches Invoices

Revolut Business customers can now send professional Invoices from their Revolut Business accounts. Invoices can be personalised for customers with a message in the email to provide a branded experience, and clients who receive this email can download a PDF for their records.

Business owners can monitor Invoices by using real-time tracking and notifications. Invoices are automatically reconciled to reduce the number of admin tasks.

How to use:

  • Click on ‘New Invoice’ and fill out the information and press ‘Send’.

  • Customer receives invoice and can make payment via hosted payment page.
