FreeAgent receives digital tax approval from HMRC
FreeAgent has also created a suite of resources that compiles information about MTD and how it will affect freelancers and micro-businesses.
Receipt Bank integration with Kashflow
Receipt Bank users can now integrate their account with KashFlow, cutting out the time it takes for submitted items to be reconciled.
As part of its latest update, the software developer has also included an easier way to add new clients.

GoCardless benchmarking survey report
GoCardless has presented the results of its benchmarking survey. The answers of almost 300 firms have been collated in a report that covers client onboarding, billing and payments as well as cloud accounting and technological change and includes insights from an expert panel.
The report covers topics such as the rate of cloud accounting adoption, software choices and the use of multiple accounting platforms in a single firm.

Countingup CSV and PDF exports
Accounting and banking software provider Countingup has added the possibility of exporting raw data in CSV or in a printable PDF and send them via email.
Countingup has also announced the development of a new invoicing feature, which has been the most voted for option by its user community.

FreeAgent: On 26 July, Tomasz Wiadrowski of SAFI advisor and FreeAgent's compliance product manager, George Grigolava will share tips on how to get ready for MTD, including how to choose the right software, how to train staff and how to get clients ready for MTD for VAT.
Clear Books: A free webinar on 22 August will cover what to do to comply with MTD, how to get any historical data into the cloud for continuity, how to make data entry processes more efficient and how to offset the cost of compliance.
The webinar will be led by Clear Books CEO Ruth Fouracre and Amanda C. Watts, the co-founder of TwentyTwo Agency, who will share tips on positioning and promoting a firm as an MTD advisory specialist.
