Accountants are delving into many different areas, in a bid to move away from compliance to a more advisory role.

One area some practitioners have felt naturally drawn to, such as the ones featured in our recent IT advisory whitepapers, is that of providing technology advice.

Whether its whitelabelling an outsourced tech firm's services or providing them in-house through a very technology-savvy partner, it has brought many firms across the UK closer to clients and more business as a result.

But there are still firms who may wish to go into this area with questions around how you can provide this service.

To remedy this, Microsoft and AccountingWEB have teamed up to provide an IT advisory live chat for you on 10 December, from 10-11am.

It will feature Microsoft tech experts, accountant and head of IT at his firm Paul Rolison, and AccountingWEB editors, who will all be on hand to answer any technical queries.

The chat is free, will last about one hour and will be instantly available afterwards.

Many AccountingWEB members have already been putting forward questions in Any Answers, but you can always ask the experts on the day by typing into the live chat box instead.

Don't miss out on this opportunity to interact with experts in real time and have your chance to have your IT advisory questions answered.

In the meantime, our IT advisory whitepaper series part one and two are available now.
